Blocking Templates focuses on Heimarbeit. Adapted for Use. IKEA Küchen Ensemble., Christopher Williams’ 2023 exhibition at Galerie Gisela Capitain, Cologne. The exhibition included six hand-painted signs, four new photographs in full colour, five new wall treatments, two new films, one new sculpture, one new publication in full colour, and one unique arrangement. This book, designed by Petra Hollenbach, includes documentation of this project and a panel discussion from ‘Theater in der Kritik’ on Franz Xaver Kroetz’s play Oberösterreich which has been buried in the ZDF archive since 1972. It includes four full colour plates and four technical drawings describing the adaptable kitchen set IKEA Metod Küchenkombinationen.
